Description

Highway traffic safety system enables storage of traffic accident data and provides detailed traffic accidents analysis. The system is based on unique address system of highways which enables traffic accident location registration.

The basis of the system is "Traffic accident record" module which allows data input of all relevant data about accident:

  • Accident location (relative position and geo coordinates)
  • Circumstances of accident (time, pavement conditions, weather conditions, type of accident)
  • Vehicles participants in accident
  • Persons participants in accident
  • Road and environment damages which were result of traffic accident and activities which need to undertaken to be repaired
  • Photographs of place of accident

Stored data are basis for many reports and analysis. From the basic list of accidents by certain circumstances (spatial, time and other specific parameters) to complex statistical and analytic reports such as:

  • distribution of traffic accidents according to different parameters (type, cause, consequence, speed constraints, weather conditions, pavement conditions…)
  • time distribution of traffic accidents (through 2 hours period during a day, days in a week, months in a year)

Results of analysis are presented in alphanumeric and graphical display (MS Excel graphs) and on thematic map with spatial distribution of accidents.
